Bring a touch of Japanese craftsmanship and everyday ease to your home with the Handcrafted Wood Storage Caddy and Tool Box. Inspired by the traditional okamochi carry boxes used by Japanese delivery workers, this modern reinterpretation combines the functional ingenuity of that heritage with a clean, versatile design suited to contemporary living.

The modular lid trays detach for flexible use, whether as individual serving platters, display trays, or additional storage compartments. Use the full set as a kitchen organizer, picnic caddy, desk tidy, or decorative display piece. The natural wood construction adds warmth to any setting, and the thoughtful proportions make it easy to carry and store. A practical and beautiful object that reflects the best of Japanese design thinking.

ke-shiki

Founded in 2022 by Tetsuya Sakatsume, ke-shiki is based in a self renovated traditional house in rural Niigata. After years of experience in joinery and furniture workshops, he creates custom pieces that unite the user’s perspective with his own craftsmanship. Working with woods such as oak, cherry, and walnut, he makes furniture and small objects that highlight each material’s natural character. Through close dialogue, each piece becomes personal, practical, and rooted in everyday life.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
