The Japanese Hinoki Wood Coaster – Hemp Star Engraved offers a softer interpretation of the traditional Asanoha (Hemp Star) motif. Made in Wakayama’s Kishu region from fragrant hinoki (Japanese cypress), its detailed engraving adds depth and warmth while preserving the smooth natural surface of the wood.

The subtle texture helps prevent glasses from sticking and protects tabletops from moisture and heat. With its calming scent and gentle tone, it brings a sense of Japanese tranquility to any table setting.

Each piece is meticulously finished and individually wrapped, making it perfect as a gift, souvenir, or daily-use item. The Japanese Hinoki Wood Coaster – Hemp Star Engraved embodies simplicity, craftsmanship, and quiet refinement in every detail.

FAQ

Can I add a gift message to my order?

Yes. You may add a personalized gift message of up to 250 characters at checkout — it is printed on a card and included inside the package. Prices and order details are never shown on the card or anywhere in the shipment, so the recipient sees only your message and the gift itself.

Will my order be wrapped as a gift?

Yes. Every JOC Goods order is wrapped in a traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth before shipping at no extra charge — both gifts and personal orders. If your order includes many or large items, the furoshiki may be packed inside the box rather than wrapped around them. Prices are never included in any shipment.
